What documents do I need to file my taxes?
Generally: a photo ID, Social Security or ITIN numbers for everyone on the return, all income forms (W-2s, 1099s), and records of deductions like mortgage interest, tuition, childcare, or business expenses. We send every client a personalized checklist so you never guess.
How is an Enrolled Agent different from a regular tax preparer?
An Enrolled Agent (EA) holds the highest credential the IRS awards. Unlike many seasonal preparers, an EA can represent you before the IRS for audits, notices, and appeals — anywhere in the country, all year long.
Can you help if I already received an IRS notice?
Yes. Don't panic and don't ignore it — most notices are resolvable. Send it to us and we'll explain what it means, what your options are, and handle the response and any representation on your behalf.
Do you work with clients outside of Houston?
Absolutely. Through our secure client portal and video calls, we serve clients across the United States. You can complete your entire return without leaving home.
I don't have a Social Security Number. Can I still file?
Yes. Many people file using an ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number). We help you apply for or renew an ITIN and file correctly so you can claim the credits you're entitled to.
When should I switch my business from an LLC to an S-Corp?
It depends on your net profit and how you pay yourself. For many self-employed people earning steady profit, an S-Corp election can save thousands in self-employment tax. We model the numbers for your specific situation before recommending a change.
How much do your services cost?
Every engagement starts with a free consultation and a flat, written quote — so you always know the price before any work begins. No hourly surprises, no hidden fees.
What are the key tax deadlines I should know?
For most individuals, the federal filing deadline is April 15. Quarterly estimated taxes are generally due in April, June, September, and January. We keep our clients ahead of every deadline with proactive reminders.
